All sites apply W3C guidelines for accessibility, according to Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI), whose recommendations aim to make the Web accessible to people with disabilities.
We seek to achieve the AAA standard of W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) and thus provide alternatives so that users with special needs can have a more friendly navigation and, consequently, generate facilities for all who access our websites, leaving no one behind.
At the top of all sites there is an accessibility bar, where users can find shortcuts for navigation, font size change and high contrast.
Shortcuts are a feature that allows you to browse websites using the keyboard. On any page it is possible to use the following combinations of keys:
Press Alt + 1, you get directly to the main content of the page.
Press Alt + 2, you get directly to the main menu.
Press Alt + 3, you get directly to the search box.
Press Alt + 4, you get directly to the bottom of the page.
In case of Firefox, press Alt + Shift + number instead of Alt + number.
In case of Firefox on Mac OS, press Ctrl + Alt + number instead of Alt + Shift + number.
Several countries have laws to serve the public with special needs, seeking to make the web environment more democratic and accessible.
Examples of laws and policies are available at https://www.w3.org/WAI/policies/.
There are several tools available to assess the level of accessibility of web pages, following the WCAG guidelines. The W3C lists the existing tools at https://www.w3.org/WAI/ER/tools/.
